Nationality & Experience
SC/ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation; OBC candidates receive 3 years; PwBD (General) receive 10 years; PwBD (OBC) receive 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST) receive 15 years; Ex-Servicemen receive 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.
Physical standards apply for Inspector (Central Excise, Examiner, Preventive Officer) and Sub-Inspector in CBI / NIA.

Tier-I Computer Based Examination
Objective multiple-choice screening test covering Aptitude, Reasoning, English, and GK.
Tier-II Computer Based Examination
Rigorous multi-module assessment evaluating quantitative abilities, reasoning, comprehension, and computer proficiency.
Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
Typing test assessing accuracy at 2000 key depressions over 15 minutes.
Document Verification & Allocation
Merit-based post preference allotment followed by physical verification.
